About Alexandra
I am passionate about helping people live and work well - to adapt, grow, build on their strengths and make choices that support a rewarding and sustainable life.
That purpose has shaped a career spanning professional coaching, corporate communications and employee engagement, counselling and social work. I have more than 12 years’ experience in professional coaching and around 5,000 hours of one-to-one work across a wide range of professional and personal contexts.
Professional experience
I primarily work with mid-career and experienced professionals who want to make the most of their working life - whether that means growing in their role, navigating change, strengthening confidence or communication, rethinking direction, or finding a more sustainable way to work.
Mid-career can bring significant opportunity, but it is also a stage when professional and personal demands often collide. People may be taking on greater responsibility at work while also managing family, financial and life pressures. Or they may have achieved many of their early career aspirations and be wondering what is next. This makes it an important time to step back, reassess and make deliberate choices.
I bring to this work more than 12 years of coaching experience in highly demanding professional environments, including Tier One construction companies, major building and infrastructure projects, fast-growing technology companies, Big Four professional services, ASX Top 50 organisations and government.
I spent seven years coaching partners in a Big Four professional services firm and have worked extensively with high-achieving professionals, leaders and teams on resilience, wellbeing, communication and sustainable high performance. That experience has given me a strong understanding of what genuinely helps people perform well, adapt under pressure and sustain success over time.
Before becoming a coach, I held senior roles in corporate communications and employee engagement in Australia and overseas, working closely with executive leaders on communication, engagement and cultural change.
Social sector experience
I have a strong interest in making a meaningful social contribution through my work.
This has included supporting doctors experiencing adversity through the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW-ACT, working with families of children with cancer through Redkite and undertaking social work in the Neurology and Spinal Injury Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.
These experiences have strengthened my understanding of resilience, recovery and the capacity people have to adapt, recover and move forward.
How I work
My approach is warm, thoughtful, strengths-focused and practical.
I am interested in what is possible and what will help you move forward. I draw on evidence from coaching psychology, resilience, wellbeing and behaviour change, together with a strong understanding of the realities of professional and personal life.
I combine thoughtful questions, fresh perspectives and practical tools to help people make better decisions, build confidence and turn insight into purposeful action.
Clients often tell me they value the combination of perspective, empathy and practical ideas, and that they leave our conversations feeling clearer, more positive and ready to take the next step.
Inspiring Well
Inspiring Well brings together the different strands of my experience and enables me to do the work I care most about: helping people adapt, grow and live and work well.
